About HilCo Air Conditioning & Heating
A Peoria Family HVAC Company Since 1989
We started as a one-man shop in 1989, and we’ve grown into a team of 10 who still treats customers like neighbors. If you’re looking for a family-owned HVAC Peoria team with honest advice and dependable service, you’ve found us.
Our story
From Tony Hill’s first service calls to a multi-generation team serving the Valley
HilCo’s company history begins in 1989, when Tony Hill opened HilCo Air Conditioning & Heating with a simple goal: do honest work, take care of people, and build a name you’d be proud to put on the truck. Word traveled fast, and over the years we’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of local families stay comfortable through Arizona’s toughest seasons.
Today, HilCo is still family-owned and proudly rooted in Peoria, with leadership and support from multiple generations of the Hill family and a crew that feels like family too. We’re HVAC experts since 1989, and we stay that way through ongoing training, certified technicians, and a commitment to doing the job right—not rushing through it. When you call, you’ll get straightforward answers from local air conditioning experts who care about the long haul.
Meet the team
A family atmosphere, backed by real experience and training
Our team includes long-time technicians, newer talent we’ve trained up, and family members who keep the business grounded in the same values Tony started with. You’ll see it in how we communicate, how we treat your home, and how we keep learning so we’re ready for today’s systems and tomorrow’s.
Our mission
Aim to Exceed, with honesty you can feel
Our mission is to make home comfort feel clear and stress-free, with honest recommendations and dependable workmanship. “Aim to Exceed” means we listen first, explain your options plainly, and follow through with clean, careful work. We’d rather earn trust for life than “win” a one-time sale.

Our values
What we stand for, and what you can expect from us
We’ve staked our family name on treating customers right, and we take that personally. These values guide how we diagnose problems, recommend solutions, and show up in our community.
Integrity first
We recommend what you truly need—nothing more—and we explain the why in plain language. If a system can be saved, we’ll talk repair before replacement, because honesty matters more than a bigger ticket.
Rooted in the community
We live and work here, and we believe a local business should give back where it can. From supporting local causes (including ALS events in Tony’s memory) to building long-term relationships, we treat customers like neighbors.
Proven expertise
We invest in training and education so you’re not getting guesswork on your system. With licensed, professional service (ROC 237746) and experienced technicians, you can feel confident the work is done carefully and correctly.
